How To Tag...
Your tag should be a 3" x 5" index
card. Please don't
use paper. You may use card stock, cut to the same size. Put your information on the card as shown on the sample to the left.
Use wire hangers only. Plastic hangers take up more space and break easily with the volume of movement we experience during our sale. All hangers should hook left so the hook looks like a question mark, like in these samples.
Pin the tag on the left side of the garment (right, looking at it) with
a 1" safety pin (the size the dry cleaners use). If you
were wearing the garment and place your right hand over your heart,
this is the correct location for the tag.
Pin pants, shorts and skirts to the hanger securely,
so the item will not slide.
If you have a two piece garments (i.e. shirt and
pants) pin the pants on the hanger outside of the shirt, so both
items will show. Sort all items by size and gender
Tie shoes together with shoe strings and pin tag
on shoe string. Other shoes, pin together with a larger safety pin
and pin tag to the larger safety pin.
Socks, hairbow, etc, can be placed in a zip-lock
bag and the tag pinned to the outside.
Furniture, riding toys, etc.: Punch hole in card and tie with a ribbon securely
to the item. Write your cosigner # on masking tape and tape to your large items to help identify them after tag has been removed.
Do not use straight pins. Do not tape on tags. Do
not use staples.
* Please help us by marking items you wish to donate after the sale. Write "NR" (see graphic above) on the bottom left-hand side of card.
